Journalism professor Mandy Locke will be leading a team of journalists from 22 daily newspapers to capture the stories of economic struggle and survival in the wake of COVID-19. The North Carolina News Collaborative won a Pulitzer Center grant to allow Locke to manage the project. Locke, an investigative journalist, looks forward to using data and surveys to find the communities that best tell these stories.
