Become a Fall Intern at Wake Forest Magazine

Interested in becoming the fall intern at Wake Forest Magazine? If you are, here’s what the magazine team needs from an applicant:

  • A letter explaining why you want the position of intern for the fall semester and what you would bring to the role
  • A resume
  • 3-5 clips that show us your writing

Please send Maria Henson (hensonm@wfu.edu) the information by April 4. Word Documents in an email are fine. We will review and decide whether to contact you about an interview. Please know that interns need to be able to attend our weekly magazine meetings at 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays in Alumni Hall. Except for those meetings, we don’t require you to be in our offices to do your intern work. We expect interns to be self-starters for the reporting and writing of articles for the print issue and/or online. You will have consultations fairly often with me or one of the magazine staff members if you are selected. Journalism experience is preferred. The internships are unpaid, but some interns in the past have received credit through suitable independent study or internship course options in the Journalism Program.
